Make a Bingo Card

1) Draw a table with 9 columns and three rows - this will give you 27 squares.

2) Using the numbers 1 - 90, add 15 numbers of your choice into the table, leaving 12 empty squares.

3) The first column is for numbers 1 -10, the next 11 - 20, then 21 - 30, 31 - 40, 41 - 50, 51 - 60, 61 - 70, 71 - 80 and finally 81 - 90.

4) There can only be 5 numbers in each row. There can be 0, 1, 2 or 3 numbers in each column.

Look at the example below - don't use this one - it's important that everyone has different cards!

There's also a template you can print off below - either write your numbers onto the PDF document or type them into  Word document.

On the next meeting, we'll have a game between us. I'll call numbers out one by one. If I call out your number you can 'dab'/mark it off. The first one to get a full line of (5) numbers wins, then the game continues until someone has dabbed/marked off all of their 15 numbers - a full house. When you get that line or full house - you need to let me know! - raise your hand on the screen/open your microphone and shout "line!" or "house!"

Yesterday as part of our topic work you researched the words 'alchemy' and 'alchemist'. Many discovered that the purpose of the alchemist was to try and discover the secret for making precious GOLD.

Your task for today is to research and create a factual report or Power Point presentation on the subject of gold that can be presented to the island's chief alchemist.

What would the chief alchemist like to read about?

What facts would astound him?

Where can you find gold?

'Gold is a very valuable metal, for example, 15 grams of 22-karat gold is worth approximately £316' 

What is todays daily rate for the price of gold? Search the internet to find out.

Check your presentations for any spelling mistakes (we will display these in class) add special effects such as coloured fonts, large and small font sizes and images. Make your work shine!

Create your own spelling word list!

Use your home reading books or any other suitable book that you have at home. Make a list of 10 words from your book that you think you could use in your writing tasks. 

Put your new words into sentences. Save your work and send it to me. Underline or make bold the words you have used.

For example: The weather today is extremely cold.

Ask an adult to test your spelling of your new words. Let me know your score!

Be creative today. You may have had some new arts and craft for Christmas? Design and draw your own fictional place. Give it a name and include many features. What would you like in your fictional place? Use your ideas from yesterday for inspiration.

You can either create your masterpiece on hwb or on paper and take a photograph? I look forward to seeing them!
